Winners stand alone?

I have a habit of rambling around book shelves of libraries and book stores.  Few days back, while nurturing my habit, I paused on a book named “Winners stand alone”. This book is penned by one of the most respected writer, Mr Paulo Coelho. I didn’t read the entire book, but I could extract the central concept. It is the struggle of a budding actress to gain name and fame.  Later I went through the excerpts of the book.  It deals largely with the irrationalities of Hollywood, which dominates the festival, and high fashion. The book reveals the deadly contest of women to become models and actresses as distorting their minds and bodies.

I have read stories of many celebrities.  Many of them were tragedy when they were from film and modelling industry. I don’t know that the ends were really sad or the writer made them. At the end of their lives or in down turns of their careers, the stars were lonely. Nobody was there to stop them from sinking. Ultimately they drowned causing a final sigh in their fans.

I look this loneliness as a by product of our capitalist mentality. People run restlessly for money, wealth and sometimes for fame. They strive for achieving certain status in particular class of society which they think as the highest thing to achieve. In this quest they leave behind their loved ones, their relatives, friends, hobbies ... everything.. Which the capitalist marathon does not allow to intrude. We have forgotten that we were social animal. Socialising not only means having a big friend list of face book and orkut, it means have some people who are with you in good and bad times.

Glamour of the stars especially the film stars never envies me. I have seen and read and felt the negative sides of it.  My grandpa is a patient of Alzheimer disease. He faces difficulty is recognising the people. He is one of those persons who moulded my life and career in early stages. My grandpa is such valuable person to me.  It makes me feel like I am a very popular star, because he remembers me. It is equivalent to have a million fans.

Do the winners stand alone? Answer is NO. Watch Sachin Tendulkar when he is batting. 100 crore Indians stand by him. Most importantly, his family stood by him in all those busy days.

If you are one of the runners of capitalist marathon and feeling uneasiness, please look behind you who else are remained with you. At the end, if you are standing alone means you have lost the game. You are not a winner at all. Amen!

Freedom of Speech

What Constitution says:
The Constitution of India contains the right to freedom, given in articles 19, 20, 21 and 22, with the view of guaranteeing individual rights that were considered vital by the framers of the constitution. The right to freedom in Article 19 guarantees six freedoms. Freedom of speech and expression is one of those.
Freedom of speech and expression, which enable an individual to participate in public activities.
****************
Speech is a most widely used form of communication. It may be face to face, tele calling or telecasting. We speak to express our feelings. We speak to motivate, we speak to provoke. Speech can win a battle, Speech can break a relation. Its not only our fundamental right. It’s our fundamental power. And as power comes along with a responsibility, we need to be more careful while using it. In pre independence era, freedom fighters used to deliver speeches which then created a spirit in people to fight against British Empire. Excerpts from those speeches have become inspirational quotes now. Same is in case of science, politics and socialism. We are missing prosperity of that kind of wisdom these days. Our bad luck is forcing us to chew cheap or illogical statements of Rakhi Sawant or Arundhati Roy.

These days I have observed only Raj Thackrey as a capable speaker in politics. Rahul Gandhi  is too immature both in his experience and speaking skills. I have watched videos of All time great motivator Nepolian Hill. He was just incredible with his words  and voice.

The concept of Freedom of speech is closely linked with political concept of “Democracy”. Democracy doesn’t mean license to do whatever we want to do, whenever and wherever.  Alexander Meiklejohn argues that the concept of democracy is that of self-government by the people.

The Fundamental Rights are defined as basic human freedoms which every Indian citizen has the right to enjoy for a proper and harmonious development of personality. These rights universally apply to all citizens, irrespective of race, place of birth, religion, caste, creed, color or Gender. They are enforceable by the courts, subject to certain restrictions. Senseless public figures, please, pay attention. Right to speech should mean Right Speech. May God gift us many capable speakers to satisfy our hunger of words of wisdom. Amen!

Declaration

Dear fellows,
Purpose of this blog is mainly to use technology as a weapon against social evils.

I am looking forward to connect Indians for the next social revolution. As citizens of free India, We have some basic rights as well as some basic responsibilities. Unfortunately, while copying western culture many of us have forgot these duties.

The duties are usual daily activities which are to be performed in a disciplined manner. We don't need to control ourselves, We just need to be disciplined in our social behavior.

We will be discussing all these thing over the time and implementing in real time.

I assure you, I will be sharp and blunt while expressing. Try to keep things as short and crisp as possible.

Regards,
Ombudsman.
